Office closes for the summer break
The office closes today to mark the end of this installation of the CITO staff. The office will resume business as usual during the beginning of the coming autumn term, run by a new, fresh crew line-up! Have a good summer break and see you soon!

Walpurgis Night Celebrated!
Walpurgis Night is a big holiday in Sweden, celebrated every year on April 30th. CITO arranged an event for everyone to try out the typical way of celebrating it!
Information evening about Chalmers
On Wednesday evening CITO held an information evening at the office. We talked about Sweden, Chalmers and details regarding the exchange program. Received many questions which we hopefully answered well. We also served pizza and soft drinks. Thanks for coming!
A decade of cooperation between Chalmers and NCTU celebrated!
Today, we celebrated the fact that it was 10 years ago that the Chalmers International Taiwan Office opened its doors for the first time! We had many special guests, including Chalmers principle Karin Markides, representatives from the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and several CITO alumni. A great evening with many speeches and the signing of 10 more years of fruitful cooperation!
Visit by a delegation from Lund University
CITO were visited by a delegation from Lund University, Sweden. Some of the guests were Prof. Per Eriksson, President of Lund University and Mr. Anders Frick, Officer in Corporate Communications Office of Lund University. Anders Frick is also a CITO alumni!
Movie Night!
CITO held a movie night, showing the Oscar-winning documentary “Searching for Sugarman”, directed by Swede Malik Bendjelloul. The movie was much enjoyed and we were all impressed by the story of the small-time singer songwriter who unbeknownst to himself became wildy famous in a remote country, only to find out decades later. Thanks for attending!
Visiting ABB in Japan
In Shibuya, Tokyo we had the opportunity to visit ABB K.K. Here CITO representatives Johannes Schygge and Alexander Fornell met with Tomoko Matayoshi, Head of Corporate Communications at ABB in Japan.
Visiting Volvo Trucks in Japan
On the last day of the CITO visit to Japan, representatives Johannes Schygge and Alexander Fornell visited Volvo Group Trucks in their Kiba office located in the southeast part of Tokyo. CITO met with Heather Partridge, VP of HR and Per Sundström, VP of Communications who shared their experiences of working at the Volvo Group and their experiences regarding working in Japan.
