Today, the 13th of May, Elin Almbacke and Catharina Beckman visited Business Sweden in Shanghai. We were honoured to meet with Van Hoang, market unit manager for east and west China and also a former member of Chalmers International Taiwan Office.
Today, the 13th of May, Elin Almbacke and Catharina Beckman visited Electrolux at their Shanghai office. The meeting was with Mathias Belin who is the R&D Director of SDA China and four of his colleagues. Electrolux is one of the worlds’ largest manufacturer and seller of household appliances like washing machines, vacuums, refrigerators and blenders. They have a high global presence, every year they sell more than 50 million products in 150 different countries. Since a lot of the production has moved to China they have chosen to move part of their product development from Stockholm to Shanghai.
Today, the 12th of May, Elin Almbacke and Catharina Beckman visited Alfa Laval. Marie Sommar, the Asia Communications Director, welcomed us at their office in Shanghai.
Our specialty returned! We held yet another movie night at our office. This time we showed the movie called Snabba Cash (Easy Money in English) that was released in Sweden 2010. The movie is based on the novel written by Jens Lapidus and it proved to be full of suspense. Well over 30 people in the audience, thanks all for coming!
Thanks to everyone who celebrated easter with us at the CITO office! Many beautiful (and a few less so, although more entertaining) easter decorations were made and a few lucky participants also found the hidden easter eggs!
The freshly printed Asia Magazine #23 is now released in Taiwan! It was released in conjunction with the anniversary of NCTU. The magazine was handed out at our stall on the school campus where we also sold pastries and other items related to Swedish culture.
Thanks everyone who visited the CITO booth at the NCTU Anniversary celebration! The Swedish “Kokosbollar” proved very poular, along with other types of Swedish candy! The typical Swedish games kubb, potatoe on a spoon and the classic put a pen in the bottle were also enjoyed by a lot of people. Again, thanks to everyone who stopped by!
Issue number 23 is now printed and released in Sweden! You can grab a copy around the Chalmers Johanneberg campus. You can find it, among other places, in the student union house and the NCTU Europe office (Chalmers Tvärgata 1B). The magazine will be released on the 18th of April in Taiwan and will there be available at our office. Enjoy!
The final meeting for this week was with Alfa Laval where we, Adam and Martin, met Richard Kelly on March 28th. Richard Kelly is Managing Director at Alfa Laval and moved to work at their Japan office about four months ago.
On Thursday 27th of March Adam Johansson and Martin Falk Danauskis visited Scania at their Tokyo office. The meeting was with Managing Director Johan Lundén and Marketing Manager Akiko Watanabe.
