We held yet another movie night at our office. This time we showed the Swedish movie “Känn ingen sorg”, which translates roughly to “Shed no Tears”. The movie takes place in Gothenburg and the audience got to see a lot of the scenery that the hometown of Chalmers offers. A very well attended event with over 30 viewers! Thanks to everyone who came!
CITO brought the classic Swedish way of celebrating Lucia on December the 13th to Taiwan!
CITO Represented Sweden at the annual Global Village Day! The event was held outside of NCTU’s library building. The event is held every year to showcase the different cultures that the many exchange students bring with them to Taiwan.
CITO held a movie night, showing the movie “The Great Gatsby”. Around 25 people with the office staff included enjoyed the movie along with lots of snacks and drinks.

Walpurgis Night is a big holiday in Sweden, celebrated every year on April 30th. CITO arranged an event for everyone to try out the typical way of celebrating it!
On Wednesday evening CITO held an information evening at the office. We talked about Sweden, Chalmers and details regarding the exchange program. Received many questions which we hopefully answered well. We also served pizza and soft drinks. Thanks for coming!
Today, we celebrated the fact that it was 10 years ago that the Chalmers International Taiwan Office opened its doors for the first time! We had many special guests, including Chalmers principle Karin Markides, representatives from the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and several CITO alumni. A great evening with many speeches and the signing of 10 more years of fruitful cooperation!
CITO held a movie night, showing the Oscar-winning documentary “Searching for Sugarman”, directed by Swede Malik Bendjelloul. The movie was much enjoyed and we were all impressed by the story of the small-time singer songwriter who unbeknownst to himself became wildy famous in a remote country, only to find out decades later. Thanks for attending!
CITO arranged a pub quiz in the office to show a common way for Swedes to entertain themselves.
