Thanks to everyone who came to our booth and talked about Sweden and Chalmers! We would also like to thank the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei and the other participating companies for a wonderful event.
Last Wednesday (7 Nov) we hosted the beloved Swedish tradition “The Kladdkaka day” where we simply enjoy ourselves by eating Kladdkaka, a type of chocolate mud cake. We had a very big turnout and an overall much appreciated evening! For more photos, check out our Facebook page (link://www.facebook.com/ChalmersAsia/)
Earlier this month, 10/4, we held the opening ceremony for the CITO office. This year it’s CITO 18/19’s turn to host the office and we’re all excited! The event had a great turnout and we look forward to the next one. For more photos from the evening, check out our Facebook page (link://www.facebook.com/ChalmersAsia/) The office’s opening hours this semester are as follows: Tuesday: 12.15 – 13.00 Thursday: 12.15 – 13.00
To celebrate the Swedish pastry ”kanelbulle”, CITO invited student to the event ”Cinnamon Bun Day” on October 17th. Beyond trying out cinnamon buns, the guests were able to take a look at the latest issue of Asia Magazine. At the end of the event, all 150 cinnamon buns were eaten. We gladly take this as proof of tasty cinnamon buns! Furthermore, we would like to thank the guest for coming by and we hope to see you soon again. We all had a really good time!
On October 2nd, it is finally time for the Opening Ceremony of the CITO Office. This year, it is hosted by CITO 17/18 and we hope to see as many as possible there. The event will include Swedish “fika” and fun activities. If you want to know more about CITO, Sweden or just get to know some Swedish people, you should come! The office’s opening hours this semester are as follows: Tuesday: 12.15 – 13.00 Wednesday: 12.15 – 13.00 Thursday: 12.15 – 13.00 Stay tuned for more information about the office and upcoming event!
On May 16th, CITO 16/17 held an event where the popular Swedish game Kubb (sometimes referred to as “Viking Chess”) was played. Unfortunately, there was heavy rainfall during the entire event, emulating a typical Swedish summer night perfectly, however some people were brave enough to conquer the rain and play regardless of the weather conditions. Other than Kubb, a music quiz was held and some snacks were served to the guests inside the CITO office. Thanks to everyone who attended despite the unfortunate weather conditions! This was the last event of CITO 16/17, however please note that the office will remain open at the regular opening hours until May 30th. You are all very welcome to join us there!
On April 27th, CITO invited the new members of NCTU Europe (who will start their studies at Chalmers in Sweden after the summer) to cook and enjoy some Swedish-style tacos as well as chocolate balls. The dinner was highly appreciated, and CITO would like to wish the new NCTU Europe all the best during their exchange in Sweden. Vi ses i Sverige!
On March 21st, the very popular day “Fettisdagen” (Fat Tuesday) was celebrated in the CITO office. Of course, during this event, a huge amount of Semlas were consumed by the attendants. The guests were also challenged with a (quite tricky) Tipspromenad-quiz with questions about Sweden. We had a really good time, and hope that all of the guests who attended did as well! Stay tuned for more updates and events from us in the future!
We are back! On Monday the 13th of March our office will once again open during lunch. Our opening hours are 12:10-13:00 and the CITO-office is located in Administration Building 1 (same building as the Office of International Affairs). So grab your lunchbox and come and hang out with us during lunch. (P.S. there will be cookies, if you are in the mood for sweets!) This semester our opening hours and days will be 12:10-13:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As usual, anyone at NCTU is very welcome to join. We are looking forward to seeing you all!
